As earlier reported, the opening of the 110/35/6 kW "Dubandi" substation renovated by the "Azerenerji" Open Joint Stock Company (OJSC) in Baku’s Pirallahi district has been held.
The "Dubandi" substation, that was commissioned in 1953 and the exploitation date of which has expired, had frequent blackouts. At the same time, the building was in a critical condition due to being exploited for a long time. Therefore, the “Dubandi” substation, that was commissioned 67 years ago, was demolished and completely reconstructed.
Not to have interruptions in the energy supply of consumers, the reconstruction works have been carried out in the special regime, without terminating the substation's activity.
In order to meet the growing demand of the newly constructed social, entrepreneurial, industrial, agricultural, touristic facilities in Khazar and Pirallahi districts and the population, prevent blackouts and system accidents, the substation's transformers have been replaced with stronger and new transformers. The reliability and sustainability have been ensured along with preventing the power deficit.
This substation will supply with energy a big part of Baku villages and settlements, Pirallahi Industrial Park, refugee and IDP town, cable factory, "Zira Ecopark" complex and other places.
In recent years, significant works are carried out to provide the population across the country with sustainable and uninterrupted energy. This year, it is planned to carry out the renovation-construction works in 3 blocs of the Mingachevir Thermal Power Plant and launch the construction of the new 350-400 MW big power plant.
